URGENT: Need Help Restoring aptX HD After Flashing Bluetooth Firmware by Mistake

Hi everyone

I recently installed a new Android unit in my car and everything was working perfectly, especially Bluetooth with my Nothing Phone 2. I was able to stream high-quality audio using aptX HD without any issues

However, while exploring the system settings, I accidentally flashed the Bluetooth firmware. I now realize that this step should only be done if there are Bluetooth issues, which I didn’t have at the time

Since then, although I can still connect my phone, play music, and make calls, aptX HD is no longer available as a codec. I have tried a full reset of the unit but the Bluetooth firmware seems stuck in its current state and HD audio over aptX HD is simply not working

I would really appreciate it if someone can share the original or base Bluetooth firmware that comes pre-installed on these units or guide me on how to fully restore Bluetooth functionality, specifically aptX HD support

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer not to reflash the entire system if it can be avoided

You typed so much text, but failed to mention your device model and Bluetooth version number.
This is just a waste of everyone's time.

DUDU-Meng You could have just said "please attach a system info screenshot" instead of posting a sarcastic message . I came here for support not to get insulted. The issue was clearly explained and now that you finally mentioned what is needed I am attaching the screenshot

If your time is so valuable maybe skip the attitude and write what is actually helpful. I am here trying to fix a problem caused by your firmware not waste anyone’s time

Noone asked you to flash it. In fact as you noticed, it had a clear information it's to be flashed if there are problems. It's a non standard patch and I'm also failing to understand how you can flash something accidentally with a confirmation box.
So maybe you drop your attitude. But what do I know...

Yes I flashed a patch that was available in the settings menu without any lockout or password which by definition makes it an easy mistake for any user exploring the interface. If you cannot comprehend how a person can press a button and confirm it during troubleshooting maybe stick to using a Nokia

I am not here for your approval or psychoanalysis. If you have actual help to offer post it otherwise spare us the amateur lectures. The last thing this forum needs is another keyboard warrior trying to win internet points over someone else's tech issue

And although this mandatory device info is on the first page of the forum, nobody reads it or attaches it to their posts. And sometimes this thing is annoying also for me. Believe me that I read this forum almost everyday. And the members of the DUDU team try to explain everything to everybody. The problem is that sometimes the translation makes a mess. I am more than sure that @DUDU-Meng didn't want to say waste of time.

In simple words does anyone here have the original Bluetooth firmware that was shipped with the DUDU7 12GB 256 unit or is what I did irreversible and has now permanently changed the hardware

I just want to see this parameter, which seems to be fine. It is the latest version. Are you saying that this version of the mobile phone cannot use aptX HD?
If you are sure that it is a Bluetooth firmware issue, what is the date of the Bluetooth firmware you were using normally before? I can send it to you separately.

Let me explain the situation more clearly to avoid any misunderstanding during translation

Before I used the OTA firmware flashing option in the settings, aptX HD was working perfectly on my Nothing Phone 2. After flashing, aptX HD stopped working completely. The phone itself fully supports aptX HD and even higher codecs like LDAC, so this is not a limitation of the phone

Right now I can still connect, stream music, and make phone calls without any issues. The only problem is that aptX HD is no longer available as a codec, which means I lost the ability to use HD music streaming. As far as I know, aptX HD is the highest audio codec supported by your unit

I have already tried the following:

Factory reset of the Android unit

Deleted the Bluetooth pairing on the phone and repaired it again

None of these steps fixed the issue. The only change that caused this was flashing the firmware

So I am asking again — can you provide the original Bluetooth firmware that was shipped with the DUDU7 12GB 256 model, which supported aptX HD?

I tested a phone with a Qualcomm chip. After connecting to Bluetooth, DUDU opened Bluetooth music and the aptX HD logo appeared.
If you think it is caused by the Bluetooth firmware, I will give you two firmware versions, an old one and a new one.
Try both of them.

Out of curiosity I flashed the firmware for "troubled" Bluetooth and it looks it's just the icon which is not present. Checked the phone (Xiaomi 14) dev options and it was still connecting without any problems via aptx HD. So it looks it's just the icon not the actual codec problem.
