Toyota RAV4 2021 Hybrid DUDU7 12.3'' installation (Wrong mounting bracket)

I am from New Zealand. I have a Toyota RAV4 2021 Hybrid. I ordered DUDU7 12.3'' unit after an extensive week long chat with a Mekede staff. I sent the pics of my car dashboard and pics of the back of my existing stock unit for thier reference. I received the unit today. However, the mounting brackets dont fit my car. Also, the harness/cables sent does not seem right..I could be wrong. There are 3 wires in the car that dont fit anywhere on provided cables with the DUDU7. Also, no idea what brand canbus adapter they have sent me. Has anyone with A RAV4 2021 installed DUDU7 12.3'' unit. Any help will be appreciated.

sujop I have Corolla Hybrid 2019 and I can confirm those cables dont need to be connected.

thats not the frame sent out. Its probably TY23 shown in the image that was sent.

The size of the monitor is 12.3 inches, can you take a picture of the back of the DUDU main unit so I can confirm?

KONGHY My friend bought it for me from Beijing. The incorrect one was sent by Mekede and they refused to replace it.

sujop Would you pls post pictures of the “correct” wiring harness,
& the connections used.. there are A lot of us with Gen 5 Rav4, that Mekede keeps trying to tell us,
You have it wired wrong, or you need to plug i the G5 wire or you need to change this or that.
yet nothing seems to work..

This is all Very strange, as “Ainavi’s” wiring harness for Gen 5 Rav4, "Style B harness “, everything works.
including Stock Reversing Camera.. .

we have all spent a lot of money buying & trying to integrate this Dudu7 headunit ...

Mekede’s technical support is undeniably top-notch—five stars without question. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for their sales practices. I made the mistake of purchasing directly from Mekede rather than through platforms like Amazon or AliExpress, which at least offer return options if things go wrong.
They sent me the wrong brackets and the sales representative refused to replace them unless I paid extra, even going so far as to falsely claim that I had agreed to the incorrect ones. A close friend of mine—who happens to be Chinese—was so disappointed by the situation that he personally ordered the correct brackets from Beijing for me.
Given this experience, I have little confidence they’ll send me the correct cable either, despite assurances from the sales rep. I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with another excuse.

sujop. i have been watching your saga with close interest,
I’m having similar issues…its very unfortunate that the headunit is an exceptional machine..

i have a 2025 Rav4…which has brought another level of Toyota changes that Mekede is not familiar with..
i ordered factory schematics, so i personally understand the wiring changes that we are dealing with …
i bought several older model rav4 headunits, so i could put together my frames…so..fit wise i have complely resolved that part…i now have full SWC canbus integration..including headunit A/C control,
which i was not expecting…only thing missing is the factory reversing integration…
i have a 3rd or 4th harness showing up the next few days that should fix that..fingers crossed…

Actually, correction, i think i purchased over 10 different wiring harnesses, b4 I figure out on my own,
what works with this car .

lorenbrown Its nice that you got everything working except the reverse cam. My AC control does not work and the head unit does not detect hood and boot door opening/closing.

I had a chat with my car mechanic, and he mentioned that many Android head units are likely produced by the same OEM, with minimal differences in hardware. Brands like Dasaita, Ainavi, and Mekede essentially load their customized Android interfaces onto these units and sell them under their own labels. That means if a particular set of cables works with one head unit, it's quite likely they'll be compatible with other similar models too.

sujop like @lorenbrown said try another harness. I had the same situation in my 2019 Corolla Hybrid, regarding the rear view camera. From 4 harnesses only one shows the rear view. But now everything works. Door opening (even boot), rear view and SWC. And your mechanic is right about what he said.

sujop per the A/C controls… in factory setup, i did not have headunit control, so, having headunit control was completely unexpected…
per frame integration…i used the back half of the factory headunit…I had to unscrew the silver screws at the back to take it apart. then It popped together with Mekede DUDU7,...i had to take all of the red clips off rav4 unit..
the front silver frame from RAv4 was not used…

the frame that mekede sent me did not work, as it left the same gap you had between the factory dash “clip” & the Dudu7 headunit…I hope that makes sense. i’ll try & take some pictures next week..

My back decided to go out… & climbing in & out of my car has not been fun...

MihaiFlorin We are all kind of in the same boat..we have done so many combinations, that we don’t even remember where we got what now works…

i have one coming this week from Ainavi, which is supposed to have the newer Gen 5 Rav4 green connector with video LVDS canbus for factory reverse camera integration… we shall see…i will believe it when it works…

If it all fails after this attempt…i will run Mekede/Sony 307 reverse camera… i really have wanted to avoid replacing the factory camera…ie.. figuring how to mount the thing on the back of the car, then running cables thru the cab to the headunit..all of which is a complete dismantle of the inside of my Rav4 to run a new cable..
