Hi guys,
I want to replace my car's OEM rear camera with the Dudu rear camera, and would like to use the existing wiring. Now this is a little challenge, because the OEM wiring is different from the Dudu camera wiring.
The OEM wiring has 4 cables running from the camera: yellow, red and two black. I assume yellow is video, red power (6V), and two black are ground. The Dudu camera has a coaxial yellow and a coaxial red cable, and comes with a long extension/adapter cable.
I'm thinking of stripping the cables from the camera (so not using the adapter cable at all). Firstly I will strip the red coaxial and connect this to my 12V rear light. Then I strip the yellow coaxial, and connect this to the OEM yellow and black cable (so connect 2 out of the 4 of the existing OEM wiring). Would this setup work?
I have Dudu7 installed with proper canbus. So this will handle the rear trigger signal (it did when I used my OEM camera atleast). So i dont think i have to do any wiring for this trigger signal which the adapter cable has, which I'm not using.
