Magic Earth in PIP Mode occasionally in restart loop when car starts

When I start my car Magic Earth which I have set as a PIP app will occasionally enter a mode where it constantly restarts and at other times it is fine. Not sure what logs I would need to capture to see what is happening. I haven't seen this with other navigation apps.

I use Magic Earth as well in PIP as well as in normal mode being "a screen filling app.
In Settings -> Navigation, you can set whether the app uses the full screen or not, thereby trying to get rid of the status bar (the bar on top). I assume you have full screen to ON. Please try with OFF.

I am seeing exactly same issue with google maps. It feels like home key is being pressed at regular interval. Sometime also happens in regular mode.

I also observed that if an app supports pip, it switches to pip mode automatically. I will try to record a video when it happens.

I haven't encountered the issue you mentioned. Please check if it is caused by the settings within the Magic Earth app.

It doesn't happen ever time. Last night I noticed it start correctly and then when I went into an area that lost GPS signal (into a tunnel) it started to crash.
I will follow up with the Magic Earth team also if @surfer63 suggestion doesn't work.

Ultimately I want to understand if there are any logs that I could collect to see the underlying restart of the app.

drush I think this is probably a logical issue with Magic Earth itself that caused it to crash. You should ask the Magic Earth developers about their log collection method, as they all have their own log collection methods.
