I recently installed a dudu7 system in my toyota prius.
Reverse camera worked fine for a week and then died. Got a replacement and that died after 2 weeks.
Investigated and realised that the camera is constantly supplied with power as long as the car is powered on not just when it is reversing. This is likely leading to it overheating (I am in a tropical country) and eventually dying.
My install uses canbus (reverse trigger wire to G5 not connected) and the reverse screen comes on as it should when I put the car into reverse.
How do I set it up so that power is only supplied to the camera when it is reversing?
