Mikescotland Even if it's set for proper player (which is a nonsense for me, should be reacting to wahetever was playing last, and changing automatically whatever is playing now).
So, let's say it's set for UAPP player. Come to the car, turn on. Tap on play. Nothing.
Tap on UAPP, start playing, returning Home.
Widget no update, either old song or just freezes. Tap on widget, want radio. Pop up opens, but selecting radio does nothing.
The setup is indeed complicated and not user-friendly/transparent. You need to configure in two places.
Settings->More Settings-> (Scroll down to) multimedia. There are some extra settings.
If you select the universal player, it will display the info your player is broadcasting (if it does that. I have 2 players where I need to switch this ON inside the player).
When you get back in the car after a "prolonged" period, the connection to your player and the widget is sometimes broken. I have that as well and also consider that a bug. What helps is to open the music player and then go back to your PIP-screen: pretty annoying, but on a 1 hour travel only 5 seconds extra.
Minimalist moder is 3 PIP-windows. The name "minimalist mode" is completely wrong.
Say you have 3 windows from left to right (I am a continental left-side driver)
If you have navigation in left, local media in the center and "something" on the right, you can tap/hold the divider between the left and center pip window and drag it to the right. This will leave you with a big primary left (navigation) window and a right smaller locala media pip window.
