Vehicle is a 2012 Mazda CX-9 Sport with basic radio system (no Bose). Photo of OEM radio installed in dash below.

I attempted to troubleshoot why the unit would not power up. I am seeing over 12V (13.5V) between the G1 and G2 pins of the DUDU7 power connector. However, I'm not getting any voltage between G1 and G3. I traced the pins on the wiring harness to the vehicle connector and verified the same directly on the vehicle connector.
The wiring harness I was sent is not able to connect to one of the OEM connectors which I believe has the steering wheel control wires and may support other functionality (maybe CANBUS?). Below is a photo of it being held by me (it is a 16 pin connector). Is it possible the vehicle needs to communicate through this connector before supplying 12V via the ACC line? Is there a wiring harness for the DUDU7 that can connect to this 16 pin connector?

I also had connected the CANBUS box shown in the below photo to the wiring harness and to port C on the back of the DUDU7, even though I'm not sure my vehicle would have supported it, since it is the base model with no added options. Having the CANBUS box connected had no effect. The DUDU7 would still not power up, which made me start to think the unconnected 16 pin vehicle connector could be the cause of the unit not powering up.

Appreciate any assistance you can provide.
