  • Some issues

I’m having a few issues with my setup (Dudu7 in a Peugeot 308 T9). Maybe someone has some solutions for these. Some of the issues were already present before the update, others only appeared after updating to version 3.6.

Before the update:

  • The anti-collision function doesn’t work (it’s deactivated and can’t be activated, even though the car supports it).
  • The air conditioning no longer cools. I can control all functions of the AC through the app—except for the cooling. When I set it to “LO”, it doesn’t get any colder…
  • Is it possible to automatically start recording with the front and rear cameras when starting the car? It doesn’t seem to work through the built-in app—I always have to start recording manually. Once recording is started, though, it works fine.
  • i can't set up german for the car messages (the car does german). i can select the language but it goes straight to chinese. the only language i can set is englisch or chinese. any ideas?

After the update:

  • I had CarPlay set as a PiP (Picture-in-Picture) app in the first field on the home screen. Unfortunately, after the update, that’s no longer possible. The CarLink 2.0 app doesn’t appear as an option anymore. Is there a solution for this?
  • It seems like the tablet always fully shuts down, even though I set it to only sleep. When starting the engine, Dudu starts up showing the Android logo...

Does anyone have solutions for these issues?

    Are there any obvious problems with the air conditioner not cooling, etc., as you mentioned?

      mark_i i created a task to launch rear camera APP at ignition start which forces auto recording. I have another task with ten second delay to return to dudu launcher after that. My front ADAS camera records automatically at startup, no task needed I don't have 360 camera setup so my answer may not be the right one for your setup.

                  1. What is the collision avoidance function? Is it a radar that automatically pops up when there are obstacles while driving at low speeds?
                  2. Regarding the air conditioner not cooling, try using the button controls to see if that works. It may be a problem with the air conditioner itself.
                  3. In the language selection, you need to add the motor first before you can add other languages. The Chinese and English you see were added in advance.

                      2. i've used the screen to set the temperature to LO but it doesn't want to cooling. Unfortunately, I don't have any physical buttons to control the air conditioning in my 308 T9, so I have to rely on the operation via dudu. the non cooling was noticeable after dudu was installed... I found something in a previous post where you have to enable a special function in dudu os for the air conditioning to work. I've looked at all the settings and think everything is set correctly. Is there anything else I need to consider on the dudu os side?
                      3. How can I add the other languages? The languages ​​are already stored in the vehicle. Without Dudu, everything was in German, and now I only have English or Chinese...

                          1. Emergency braking function: Check the settings of the old version of the protocol to see if you can find the switch for this function.
                          2. Air conditioning issues: You can test whether the old version of the air conditioning settings are effective. Go to Factory Settings - Test Protocol - Load Test Protocol, then install the Touchscreen Assistant app from the app store. Click on the snowflake-shaped floating switch to enter the old version of the air conditioning interface.
                          3. Language: Settings - About - Android Settings - System Settings - Language and Input - Click +.

                              1. This is deactivated since i've installed the Dudu in my car. it has nothing to do with the update. It dosen't work since the beginning. I can't select it in the Car Settings and on the vehical display the icon shows up always.

                              2. i will test this.

                              3. i don't talk about the main language from the dudu os (there i have German). i am talking about the car messages in the center display of the car (in front of the stearingwheel). i can change it in the carsettings but there is only chinese and englisch that works.

However, I can only select English or Chinese in the car settings, even though all other languages ​​are displayed. When I press German, it switches to Chinese. Only two languages ​​work; all the others don't.

                                          DUDU-Meng Here is a Video with the log on and then i press the anti-collision button.
                                          And good news for the A/C. It was the A/C itself with a problem. Serviced it after 10 Years and now its working. So nothing to do with the DUDU. Thank you anyway.

                                          Now its only 2 thinks: the anti collision function and the language of the car messages...
