The Telco has an app that uses an OTP via SMS to login.
The problem now is that the head unit is not able to receive SMS OTP for the Login.

I'll second this request. My Telco also occasionally sends SMS messages to my data only SIM, including OTP for setting it up in the first place.
By no means critical but would be a "nice to have" feature.
@MrWong @User_mdhjrybs you must understand that these devices, even if they use Android, they are not mobile phones. I don't think this would be possible anytime soon.
Adding this feature is illegal in many countries and regions, and requires a license.
You can install a text messaging app yourself to enable this feature.
