  • Dynamic / Trajectory Lines rear camera question

As my car (Zafira B) does not allow a nice integration of the DUDUAUTO rear camera, I am looking to buy 3rd party rear view camera. What I don't understand is how the dynamic trajectory lines are added to the video image.

If I want dynamic trajectory lines, do I need a camera that supports it? Or is this something that the DUDU7 will add itself if the CANBUS from my car delivers a signal from a steering wheel sensor?

I found a very nice assembly unit that might just be what I need to fit the original camera in 🙂

You need the CANBUS box in order to get the steering wheel corner information so that the data goes to DUDU and the dynamic tracks appear

Thanks and understood, I just ordered a CANBUS box: GM‑RZ‑11.

I'm using a can adapter Simple soft RP5-OP-001, it only does basic functions, it doesn't even show if the doors are open. You can forget about dynamic lines. Car is Astra H

      Thnx MotoVlad and dudu-lai

Yesterday I finished the install in the car with the RP5-OP-001, although some functions are not working, I am very satisfied with the DUDU7. Installing the reverse camera went perfect and the sound quality is very good, even on default speakers it's a surprise. Radio reception is also suddenly very well 😛

A couple of days earlier I received the GM-RZ-11 but it had 20 pins (didn't know that the loom was 16pin). I tried to get a diagram or pin layout for the GM-RZ-11 CANBUS box but that was not available online. I figured if I have that I would have been able to re-pin or get a new loom to get it to work. A new loom was not available, and merkede only supports 16pin according to support.

So, I've opened the GM-RZ-11 box to look at the PCB, I then contacted the manufactor, to see if they can help. But I also think that this CANBUS box is not meant to work with my model (Opel Zafira B 2007).

Support from Merkede advised me to use the RP5-OP-001, according to them it should work with the SWC and the simple soft website mentions it too, specifically for my model. In Vehicle settings I have tried all Simple -> OPEL options, none of them recognize the SWC.

Anyway, I finished the installation, installed the latest DUDUOS 3.6 and I am super happy with the current result.

      Working:

      • Reverse + rear camera
      • Head lights on/off
      • Ignition off

      Not Working:

      • Steering‑wheel audio keys
      • Parking‑sensor on rear camera screen
      • Steering‑angle; Dynamic rear‑view trajectory lines
      • Door & boot status
      • AC/climate: set‑temp, fan speed, mode, A/C on/off
      • Indoor/ Outside temperature
      • Engine‑coolant temperature
      • Fuel‑level & low‑fuel warning

Support mentioned to print the CANBUS output via factory settings, to see what's wrong with the SWC, I will open a new topic for that. If I get a reply from Raise for the GM-RZ-11 box pin out, I will try again with that box too.

        robbie_j GM-RZ-11 Pin

Thnx so much dudu-lai , you are much faster then raise support 🙂

I soldered the correct lines to the corresponding pins, at least I think I have but no luck yet, the HU is not booting.

          I used the below:

          1 GND
          2 +12V
          4 CAN-L (single thread GMLAN)
          5 ILL
          6 ACC
          7 PARK
          8 REV
          13 RX
          14 TX

I might have fried the PCB last Tuesday already trying 2 - 3 times with different pin outs before you gave me these. 🙁
Wish I waited now. The HU is working fine on the RP5-OP-001 though, I got the SWC working now. So I am figuring to maybe buy a new GM-RZ-11 to try again.

Do you think the pins I just tried are the correct ones and the HU should have booted?

            robbie_j properly

ordered a new one, I am curious now if this works.

            15 days later

Tried with a fresh GM-RZ-11 unit but unfortunately the dudu7 doesn't turn on. So I decided to leave it with the RP5-OP-001.

robbie_j Are you using the wiring harness that comes with the RZ-GM-11?
The pin definitions may be different from the simple definitions
