• DUDU OSFunction Request
  • 4x4 - Off-road theme / environment

Hello,
I have only had the unit for a month or so and still figuring it out how to set everything so maybe I could achieve the following with more tinkering around…. however, I do quite a bit of offroad on a weekly basis and was thinking that a dedicated “4x4 – Offroad Theme/Environment would be very cool.
Some aspects I was thinking
360 Camera:

  • PIP 360 camera with the same functions, probably with a some wider buttons since the whole resolution gets minimized
    Pitch and Roll:
  • I noticed there is a Pitch and Roll widget but is more like a radar. A dedicated app showing the picture of the car physically rolling and pitching would be nicer
    TPMS:
  • TPMS widget is fine as is, probably have 2 settings within the app…one for on road where the minimum PSI is set higher while the 2 save option is for Offroad where the minimum PSI is a lot lower so the warning doesn’t come up:
  • Setting 1 ONROAD: PSI range 30 – 38
  • Setting 2 OFFROAD: PSI range 15 – 25
    Bluetooth Switch Panel (AUXBEAM App):
  • Many of us that have a lot of light also have a switch panel to control everything, and most switch panels have a Bluetooth option to be used with our phones. So instead of using the physical bow or our phones, it would be nice to have a PIP on the screen ton control everything from there
    Wikiloc or any Trail app:
  • I guess this would be any navigation app that works for the user either Waze, Maps, Yandex etc so it’s just another PIP Navigation window
    Accessory BT apps
  • Many Power stations and portable fridges also have BT apps that can be controlled remotely so again another PIP option that would be nice to have on screen to monitor constantly

After writing this I am realizing that maybe it’s just a bunch of PIPs on the screen. However it would be nice if at all possible to have a dedicated button that launches this “Offroad theme” with all the layout saved and previously configured, and once you are done and back on the road again you just press the button again and return to your “Default Onroad Theme”

I tried my best to do some quick editing to show what I am taking about, thanks!

Duce I'm doing quite a bit of offroading as well but am happy as is. I use Osmand for trails and have it as PIP2 so can switch instantly between GMaps PIP1 and Osmand PIP2. In the secondary PIP I normally have something like Carscanner to see clutch temperatures or whatever. I can easily switch to the fridge or solar apps but don't do that very often as they "just work" and I don't need to change settings all the time. Want to have enough time to look out through the windows 😉

PS I use TPMS but have set broad ranges given I really lower pressure often. Basically want to see effects of temperature and defects of course so use a widget for that.
