• DUDU OS
  • Third Party Widgets

Is there a way/setting to enable third-party widgets for latest DuduOS 3.5 on FYT7862s? If not, I would like to request it as a feature request for upcoming 3.6 releases. It would be a nice to have such feature I think.

This is a very good idea.
Maybe allow 3rd party widgets in the wallpaper mode?
I still don't know what this mode is for.
So to use widgets from installed apps in this mode would be nice.

I've seen somewhere in the settings to enable third-party widgets to choose from a list of widgets generated by installed third-party apps however neither those widgets were populated in home screen nor listed in widget list. I wonder if it's already supported or not.

Maybe we could get an answer from the devs?

Well, found a way to choose those third-party widgets in Settings>Other>Lab to map them with four predefined shortcuts and those shortcuts seem to be available only when the shortcut/app bar is enabled in layout settings, meaning they are neither accessible from navbar nor app widget. And finally launching those widgets via those shortcuts literally do nothing but placing blank white space in home screen.

Appreciate if devs could shed some light on it.
