• DUDU OS
  • DUDU7 issues with Bluetooth & settings

I have the DUDU7,
The Bluetooth connects for GPS, music and text notifications but not phone calls. Also the volume buttons on the bottom bar are flipped, volume + is on the left and volume - is on the right, I can't figure out how to change them.
I turned off "disable video while driving" and it doesn't work. I tried grounding the parking brake wire, that didn't help. I also flashed the 3.6 beta to see if it would help with any of this, it did not. I have a few other minor things but I would appreciate any help with these first.
Thx.

  1. There is no notification for phone calls.
  2. The volume of the navigation bar is currently designed as such, with no flip function set.
3.You have turned off drive disable video, but still can't play video while driving right?

Yes I have it turned off and it still won't work.
And I'm sorry if my description was bad about the Bluetooth, what I meant was, GPS, music and text comes through the radio but phone calls are still routed through my phone speaker.

When I make a call after connecting to Bluetooth, does the phone still make a sound from the speakerphone?
Check if your phone's Bluetooth is turned on or off.

The phone will only connect wired to Android auto, wireless will not work at all. I have the switch turned off for "Disable video while driving" but anything in Android auto still won't work. I tried grounding the parking brake wire, that didn't work.

Android auto is classified as a cast screen. dudu7 acts as a monitor only.
All the features you mentioned are done by Android auto built in your phone.
You never said you were using Android auto in the first place.

        DUDU-Meng
Ok, I was confused because any head unit I've used, grounding the parking brake allowed everything to work while the car was moving.
I'm going to try and use the apps in the unit and only use Bluetooth for phone calls. Thank you for replying.

Android auto is what the phone is casting
We can't tell and we can't control the phone.
Android auto's interface protocol shouldn't support what you're saying either

I have most of my issues figured out, thx.
Only thing I can't find, if I plug in an external mic for Bluetooth does it automatically disable the one that's built in to the units face?

Brian68 The DUDU7 3.5 connector will automatically block the internal microphone when an external microphone is plugged in.

I updated to the latest beta, it is great,
Thank you for your help. Do you sell an upgraded external mic? Or can you recommend one that I can buy?

Can i share my mobile phone internet to the head unit DUDU7 through the bluetooth tethering ?
          I cannot find this option

Transfer speed on BT connection is very poor. Best way is connect with WiFi 5GHz Hotspot from smartphone.

I dont mind about speed. Just want to make it work. You have any idea?
