Yes it exists, i don't think there is a way to route it to the real speakers. The cheap one is included to retain the chimes otherwise there will be silence. Usually they are external and can be unplugged, but if it's built into canbus box, there is no such option. Strange design.

I still hope that DUDU / MEKEDE can make this happen. The extra value paid for dudu7 device should cover for this update....

DuduOS can sniff canbuss data and make automation.
If "proximity" or "object near" or whatever entry in canbus log THEN make beep beep through DuduOs.
So please make it happen.
I will kill the internal canbus speaker myself....

The reason why we all have different canbus boxes is because every car is different. You make it seem like for this function every car would be the same so it should be really easy. The fact is, that's not reality.

How come not?
The DuduOS clearly shows radar lines on my display sillhuete of car when i am in reverse and closing up to obstacle and coloring these lines.
So DuduOS knows what is happening with reversing sensors when the car is in reverse.
I am not android developer but rather hobby smart home geek and when system has some information you can make use of it.
So i pray to be heard...

Yes every car is different and yes every canbus is different BUT the messages in the canbus get translated to something different that the Dudu device can understand, in the actual software inside the Dudu/the physical display of parking sensors for example is handled in exactly the same way no matter the car so this could be implemented on the software side pretty easily. It could be added so that all vehicles can have sound.

Dudu developers could easily add an option for reverse sound beeper and have different tones and volume levels etc if they wanted to but it all comes down to if they want to invest the time on developing this or not...

Why not just fix the actual problem, which is upgrade the sheety speaker/buzer that's in the canbus box. Doing that looks to be be pretty trivial...

Changing speaker ... The sound can get just a little bit better and only for the one that will do that. Also it would require to risk with buying good one with good specificatiobs that wouldn't somehow interfere with canbus box main functions.

Change (add sub setting) in headunit code would make difference to all users. I thought that paying twice the money than other 7870 alternatives would give some kind of support.

So i beg for small addon in DuduOS.
I will then kill the speaker in canbus box.
I need help from admins and tech support and not just "it is not possible" from other users 😁

If you really think you are going to get canbus code for your vehicle in the DUDU OS, you are going to be waiting a very long time. What you are begging for is not support.

Or maybe you don't, I am helping develop some canbus firmware for the Dudu so I have a pretty good understanding on how these work

I'm not "dumbing it down in my mind", it is actually possible, especially with the source code (which isn't accessible to us end users)

But real world unless there's huge demand it won't happen

Hello again 🙂
I ordered external speaker and now when searching for a way to connect it to cabus box i found out i have maybe issue pairing it. The buzzer inside canbus is obviously 5v, external speaker is 12v.
Does anyone know what and if there are dedicated pins on this canbus harness? One guy on another forum attached picture with legend next to pins and looking at my 16pin it could be the same.
But is there a pin for sound? Is it 12v?

Is it possible to just remove that small speaker without causing issues? I don't know about others but mine sounds like basically like a siren once you're really close to something. This sounds is so unbelievably unsettling to hear at 7a every time I back my car out of my garage or every day I pull into the parking garage near work and have to get close to the meter to grab a ticket.

I will happily remove it, my car still makes the beeping noise without it and without the stock stereo. Honestly this horrendous sound might turn into a deal breaker for me for this stereo. Yes it is THAT bad. I haven't even fully gotten my DUDU7 working yet and I just want to drop everything and figure out a way to make this sound stop happening. For the love of God please tell me I can rip out this speaker and launch it out the window!

Just want to share my quest with replacing buzzer with speaker in black enclosure linked from another user above.
Sucks. With 1 hour precise work i ended up with very quiet and calm beeping sound.

Basicly not hearable with car running.
So i ended up with canbus box without buzzer.

DuduOS could really make an update in coding. Like "when reversing and yellow stripes light on on duduos, then play beep-beep", and "when reversing and yellow+orange stripes lights, then play beep-beeeep-beeeep.

Yes it is hard to implement that. Sarcasm.
