  • "System Settings" not working

2012 Ford F-150, trying to modify the stock amplifier values isn't working. This is causing all of the audio to the back corner of the car.

I was unable to find where the can bus log went to, is it in a new location different than what the stickied post says?

gobiggohome Do you have the original AMP in the car?
Did your adjustments in “Settings” - “Sound” - “Sound Field Adjustments” work?

      6 days later

dudu-lai Yes stock amp When the vehicle settings are stuck at L9, if i make "sound field adjustments" go all the way to the R the sound goes away completely, if i move it all the way to the L I hear sound.

I found yesterday if I randomly select a different canbus box from the settings, then go back to the simple one, I can adjust the vehicle settings normally. It usually stops working when I turn the car off then back on though.

Another problem is the truck will randomly drain the battery. Sometimes the battery will show 0A being used after it's turned off, but several times it shows 0.25A being pulled after turning off and it kills the battery overnight.

I asked the seller to send me a Raize canbus box. When I select that I get many more options under "vehicle setup" and the HVAC screen looks nicer also.

gobiggohome Ok, raise is worth a try. If you unplug the CANBUS box, does it still show 0.25A used after shutdown?

The box itself will not cause a drain but it's sending canbus messages that keep another module awake and that will cause drain. It needs more investigation. Newer cars also need 30-45 mins for all the modules to 'fall asleep'. Check after that without opening any doors.

I unplugged the stereo and still saw the 0.25a drain, I believe it's unrelated. I got my battery tested at the auto parts store and it failed. After installed a new battery it hasn't died overnight since.

The seller wants me to troubleshoot the other issues before they send me a raize bus. Any other ideas of what I can test to try and figure out what is causing the issues?

I was driving home last night and got a check engine light for a bunch of CAN errors between the PCM and the ABS module, something that hasn't happened before 🙁

Volume up/down on the steering wheel after adjusting the volume with the knob causes the volume to go 100% or 0%, here's a video on that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URcBHw3piTo

gobiggohome The video is not clear enough and many numbers are not clearly visible.
Have you tried the RAISE CANBUS box? Is the situation the same?
