  • 360 camera compatiblity

i had a 360 camera set up from another inferior android head unit. it had the ability to switch between 720p/1080p by cutting a wire. when i put it in 1080p mode i only get a black screen in duduauto. it works correctly in 720p. here is the link: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807174820163.html

is there something i can do to make 1080p work, or do i need to get the official duduauto 360 camera kit?

    gobiggohome All four cameras are switched to 1080P and inserted into the DUUD, if they also have a black screen, they may be incompatible with the

    • The set of 360 cameras i recieved are all labelled 'Sony 307'.

    • The DUDU7 Head Unit pinout provided by the DUDU installation wiki indicate that they are 5 volt cameras (most pre-installed cameras seem to be 12 volt).

    • I've seen videos, forum, and Telegram posts that indicate all 4 cameras must be installed and working for any of them to work.

    • There do seem to be lense settings in the setup, but i don't know what the options are yet.

    Hopefully, someone can get this type of info added to the Installation Wiki ... it is incredibly difficult to find unverified information spread throughout forum posts, Telegram cgats, and 3rd party vendor documentation!

      • the side 360 cameras sold by DUDU are only suitable for mounting on the underside of horizontal surfaces (like under the side mirrors). NOTE: This is only suitable for cars and maybe pickup trucks but NOT for taller or longer vehicles like Cargo or Camper Vans or Motorhome RVs. For this type of vehicle you will need to find a 3rd party compatible camera designed for mounting on the top-side-centre of the vehicle (or manufacture your own adapter to change the mounting of the DUDU side camera)

        This is a solution that someone did to mount the under-side-mirror cameras high up on a van.

        • In the 360 program, you can choose the type of camera lenses, but only for all 4 cameras at once.
          (apparently, the side lenses must be the same ass front and back)

        I have a 2015 Ford F150. It has a factory installed reverse ANd 360 camera. How can I retain this functionality so as not to have to install new Dudu camera kit?

          These cameras are 12v - so they are not compatible.

          However;
          according to https://t.me/duduauto/101209/153274 , some Teyes cameras are compatible.
