Hi,
I'd like to ask for your assistance and maybe to expand your WIKI for the topic of setting up seperate audio amplifier.
I know these things may differ from case to case, but some basic staples should be same for all of us.
I had an issue with buil-in audio gateway AGW Becker, where it sometimes wouldn't wakeup from sleep, resulting in no sound issue. I succesfully upgraded into seperate analogue amplifier, but now I want to fully understand how to properly set up everything. Many people on the WEB suggest, to compleatly overide any settings in DUDU, make them either flat or turn-off. Then adjust knobs on amplifier, set everything up for my taste, and only than start messing around with software side of DUDU. Is this the way? One thing I already know is that when using switch for FAN/AMPLIFIER - turning it off makes DUDU not emite any sound what so ever. Which for me is counter intuitive, since amplifier only makes signals stronger, and not creates them. So turning this off should atleast output something. Maybe this switch should have it's description adjusted. Also there is an option to set "power" of the amplifier, which basically amplifies signals even more. Should I make this to 0 for the time of setting my seperate amplifier? Or should I set it to 50% or smething else? Also there is "LOUD" option, which descritption suggests that it amplifies some frequencies on lower volumes, to make sound more full. I get what it does - but should I have turned it on or off for the testing and adjusting the amplifier? This is also not clear for me as a user, and WIKI is silet about this.
I have similar questions about whole section called DTS, which was hugly advertised. But from my understanding - only works with built-in car specific amplifier, which are CAN oriented right? As I can hear some changes in choosing 4.1 and 5.1 and since I only have 4.1 speakers - it means it makes some other changes maybe with cross overs or something.
This car-audio whole topic is huge, I understand this, but given the fact how DUDU is involved into make our life easier, and actually giving us - the users - option to push our equipment to the limits - I would imagine more support in the WIKI. All those things I mentioned above should and could be easily answered and expleined with details, and use-cases on the WIKI, resulting in less hassle of my and similar users fiding the correct answers. As I still don't know if it's better to check forum, telegram, oraz wiki.
Any of your input will be greatly apriciated.
Thanks!
