  • New DUDUAUTO7 install. No sound, no FM radio and no Car-Play connection

2012 VW Touareg, factory CD player in glove box, DUDUAUTO7 head unit.

So I have everything connected. Went through start up menus. Set the Canbus to VW Touareg and RZC/Raise. Several issues

  1. Can barely hear music when volume is turned all the way up. It's as if the factory amp is not turned on
  2. No FM radio connectivity. Radio cable is plugged in to only co-ax factory cable it will fit whuich is a single pin. The other connectors are 4 pin.
  3. How do I connect IPhone to Car Play on head unit? I can get the bluetooth to connect and play a song, but cannot get the head unit to connect through Car Play
  4. Cannot find the tutorial on the head unit. Where is it located?

      Thanks. It did help me to get the iPhone connected. I would like for it to connect automatically instead of having to go into the Application folder and connect every time. How do you do that?

      Still not getting any sound out of the system

        Treg2012 you can create an automation that will do anything you want from shortcuts on the iPhone.

          Treg2012 you really don’t want to use CarPlay anyway! It’s low res and you can set your head unit to boot into 2 or 3 screens and do way more than CarPlay and better quality

            Treg2012 your amp may not be turning on, you willl need to to check and see if you have power at the amp when the radio turns on

              Two issues left are

              1. No backup camera with my factory VW camera
              2. No radio reception. Very limited options to choose from with the connector supplied

              Hello, it would be good to take a picture of the antenna connector and the camera connector, the following information is if you have a 26pin plug camera connector and 2xFakra and an active antenna.

              1. If you have a factory camera, you need a converter, something like this, check with the seller:

                The image will be bad, I recommend buying a camera with a higher resolution, you will have to install a cable, but you do not need a converter, measure the current camera and check the pins, ask the seller:

              2. If you have a 2x Fakra connector and an active antenna, the amplifier in the antenna is powered by coax, you will need an antenna power supply and a 2x FAKRA male - DIN male combiner. You connect it and connect the power to the blue ANT wire:

              There is no other connection than carplay, only phone bluetooth and music A2DP. An Android device is not a computer.
