Success using Floatify for pop-up app notifications

Hello all! I know there's been some discussion around getting app notifications to display with DUDUOS. I was looking for something that worked with Whatsapp, Google Voice, and Messenger, since without popups I wouldn't see incoming messages until opening that specific app.

I've been testing Floatify over the last month for this purpose. Floatify allows for control of any app's notifications. It's very configurable - you can choose the duration of the popup, modify its location/size/theme, respond to messages within the popup (without bringing the app to the foreground), or open an app from the popup. It also supports gestures.

This has been exactly what I needed. Floatify is no longer in the Play Store, but you can find it on Softonic or Uptodown. Hope this helps!

Just replying to say thanks for this suggestion, tried Floatify today along with Joaoapps Join to get notifications from my phone to popup on the headunit and it works perfectly! Extremely happy with the result, thanks 👍🏻

I've been using Floatify for a few days along with Join to receive notifications from my phone, and it works well, but I have two issues:

I've set a notification sound in the app, but there's no sound when a notification arrives.

When I receive WhatsApp notifications, they are displayed as a list with the oldest message at the top, so when a new notification comes in, it doesn't show — only the oldest one remains visible.

Has anyone managed to solve these issues?

Owik I haven't looked into the sound issue, since I always see the popup.

I wish there was a way to have notifications sync with my phone, so if I'd already looked at them on my phone they wouldn't appear again when I start the vehicle. I'll usually just swipe right to get rid of the old notifications, or ignore them and they cycle through quickly. But it accomplishes my main goal - seeing new notifcations while driving.

Isk it's for WhatsApp / other apps from the connected phone, not notifications from Dudu. When not using carplay of course.

Mikescotland I have mine set up for notifications coming into the headunit, not the phone. This works because I have all my apps installed on the headunit - instagram, whatsapp, messenger. For calls coming into my phone, those display on the headunit when the phone is connected in via Blueooth and I believe that works fine without Floatify. I use Google Voice for calls so YMMV.
