I couldn’t find a dedicated forum section for feature or UI improvement proposals, so I’m posting this suggestion here.

I’d like to share a few ideas for the development team based on real-world daily use of the head unit with my car.

Vehicle and data limitations

My car is a Mazda 3 BL (2010).
It does not send fuel level data to the head unit, but it does send remaining fuel range (distance to empty).

Right now, this value is visible only in one widget (photo above). Because of this, most widgets that rely on fuel level are partially or completely useless for my vehicle.

Current home screen usage

On the home screen, I use a dual PIP setup:

one window for Maps

one window for YouTube Music

On the left side, I use widgets.
However, the current widgets there don’t really show the most important vehicle data, especially when fuel level (distance to empty) is unavailable.

Proposal 1: New OBD Information Widget

I’d like to suggest that your developers create a new OBD widget focused on essential, universally useful data.

Suggested data:

Vehicle speed (constant data)

Engine RPM (constant data)

Battery voltage (can be chosen from widget settings)

Coolant temperature (can be chosen from widget settings)

Remaining fuel range (distance to empty) (can be chosen from widget settings)

It would also be great if the lower row could be configurable via widget settings, allowing users to choose which parameters are displayed — similar to how other vehicle data widgets already work. Widget could be looks like this one

Proposal 2: Enhanced TPMS Widget with OBD Data

The current TPMS widget is already very useful and should stay as it is in terms of tire pressure and temperature display.

I’d like to suggest extending it with OBD data next to the vehicle image, for example:

Engine RPM (can be chosen from widget settings)

Battery voltage (can be chosen from widget settings)

Coolant temperature (can be chosen from widget settings)

Remaining fuel range (distance to empty) (can be chosen from widget settings)

As with the first proposal, having these values selectable via widget settings would make the widget much more flexible.

Proposal 3: Add Remaining Fuel Range (distance to empty) to Existing Vehicle Data Widget

There is also an existing vehicle data widget that shows information such as speed, voltage, coolant temperature, time, average speed, etc.

I don’t suggest changing the layout or behavior of this widget.
However, it would be very useful to add “Remaining fuel range (distance to empty)” as an optional parameter in the widget settings.

Why this improves UX

These changes ensure that all widgets remain fully functional even on vehicles without fuel level data.
Using remaining range instead of fuel level avoids empty or misleading widgets and reduces the need to switch between screens for key driving information.
